Dr. Kristen Roberts grew up in Calgary Alberta. From an early age she wanted to be a veterinarian and did what ever she could to be around animals, often filling her time with volunteer work at pet stores and veterinary clinics. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Calgary, she went to Saskatoon to do the veterinary program at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and worked with the team at Martensville Veterinary Hospital. In 2015, she moved abroad to Cayman Islands with her family and worked at the local Veterinary Clinic and Specialty Boarding. In 2018, she moved back to Canada to British Columbia and worked in Kelowna at the Rutland Pet Hospital. In the summer of 2021, her family came back to Saskatchewan and she has returned to Martensville Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Roberts has a special interest in preventative care medicine and rehabilitation and physical therapy for dogs and cats.
When Dr. Roberts is not working, she can be found hanging out with her husband Cam and their 2 kids, Andy (11) and Emily (7), and their cat Sissy. Often they enjoy traveling and finding new adventures. While in Cayman, she received her PADI certificate as a Divemaster and looks forward to more scuba diving experiences. She also has a passion for dancing, especially west coast swing and Argentine tango.
